Welcome back for another fun year of Swim Lessons at the Quakertown Pool!


Please see the descriptions below to find the type of lesson that would be best for your child. If you have any questions please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 267-372-7275

You do not need to have a pool membership to participate in swim lessons!

Inclement Weather: Participants will receive an email notification if class is postponed due to inclement weather. Make up days will take place on Fridays.

Types of Classes:
Group Session: Available for ages 4 and older
Tot Swim: Parent participation is required. Available for ages 3 and younger.
Private Lessons: Available for all ages.

Session 1:
Date: June 17 - June 27
Days of the Week: Monday - Thursday

Group Lessons
  • Swimmers will be divided into smaller groups based on their swimming abilities on the first day of class.
  • Designed to help students learn to be safe in and around the water.
  • Students will learn and practice water safety skills.
  • Students will be introduced to different strokes and skills.
  • Students will be divided into small groups of similar abilities.
  • Lessons are all differentiated to meet the needs of the different skill levels.
  • Available for ages 4 years of age and older (*Must be 4 years of age by the lesson start date*).
  • Children age 5 and under must have a parent or guardian present.

Private Lessons
  • Individualized lessons to meet the needs of the student and improve swimming skills.
  • Students will learn and practice water safety skills.
  • Students will learn or improve swimming strokes at their ability level.
  • One on one, personalized instruction.
  • Available for all ages.
  • Children age 5 and under must have a parent or guardian present.
  • ** Please note that registration for private swim lessons closes one week prior to the session for scheduling purposes.

TOT Swim
  • Parent participation required - one parent must enter the water with the child.
  • Participants will receive basic introduction to water.
  • Participants will gain comfort in water.
  • Participants will learn basic techniques such as blowing bubbles, floating, getting their faces wet.
  • Instructor serves as facilitator of activity and reference.
  • Available for ages 3 years of age and younger.
  • Parent or guardian must be present during lesson.
