9:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Float your Boat Race - August 14 - Float your Boat MEMBER Registration
Float, float, float your boat gently across the Quakertown Community Pool!Join us on Thursday, August 14, from 9:00 AM–11:30 AM for a fun-filled morning of creativity and competition at our Float Your Boat Race. Participants will design and race their own floating boats across the pool to see whose creation can make it to the finish line. This event is open to both members and non-members, making it a great opportunity for friends and families to join in the fun. As an added bonus, all participants and one accompanying adult will receive a wristband for admission to enjoy the Quakertown Community Pool for the remainder of the day. Whether you're racing to win or simply enjoying the excitement, it's sure to be a memorable day at the pool!Schedule:9:30-10am - Registration and final touches time!10am-10:15am - line up to take on the pool!10:15am - 11:30am - We will start our races, you will be timed on how fast you can make it across the pool! The fastest time in each age group wins!Rules: Any ages are welcome. We will create age groups based off of registration. The group will compete in the age group that the oldest participant in the group is in. If there is not a pool member in the group it will be $15 for a group up to 4, if there is a member on the team, they must register and sign up for free. Only ONE registration needed per group. All participants who register, will receive a wristband allowing them to stay at the pool for the rest of the day! You must create your boat before arriving at the race. You will have between 9:30am and 10am to register and add any finishing touches! Teams may only use materials from the “allowed” list, any items from the “NOT allowed” list will be taken off the boat or team will be disqualified. Boat must float with AT LEAST 1 rider, you can compete with 1-4 people on the boat. If the boat sinks before crossing the finish line, that team is eliminated and receives a DNF. If we receive enough participants of a wide variety of ages, we will split into age groups, each age group max out at 20 teams. If no boats make it across the pool in a group, we will refer to the “best appearing” boat. Teams must pick up all debris that is left in the pool after they race. All riders must be able to swim in the deep end, lifeguards will be on duty in case of an emergency. Allowed materials: Cardboard Duct Tape Pool Noodles Plastic bottles/jugs Foam PVC Pipe Rope/string Decorations Water resistant tape or paint NOT allowed: Paint Wood Metal Fiberglass Motors or engines Electric/ battery powered anything Inflatables Premade boats Sharp objects

Spend a day by the beautiful Jersey Shore in charming Cape May! Enjoy free time to explore, stroll the beach, visit shops, or soak in the historic sights at your own pace. Travel comfortably on our coach with bathrooms and outlets, and bring snacks and drinks for the ride. A relaxing and fun-filled coastal adventure awaits!Cape May, NJ Itinerary:- 7:00am: Depart Quakertown Community Pool parking lot (601 W. Mill Street)- Around 9:30 am: Arrive at the Bus Depot on Lafayette St- From 9:30 am to 6:15 pm: Free time- 6:30 pm: Depart from  Bus Depot on Lafayette St- Around 9:00pm: Arrive at Quakertown Community Pool parking lot Cape May, NJ Details:-The ticket price is $45 per person. Tickets are non-refundable, however, if we are unable to reach our minimum of participants the trip will be canceled and your monies will be refunded. -This is a coach charter and does have a bathroom and electrical outlets on board. -Food and drinks are permitted on the coach. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves.-Please always arrive approximately 10-15 minutes prior to departure from Quakertown and Cape May.
